Sunday School Purpose Statement 

 

The Sunday School Program at Faulkville Baptist strives to create small group environments that promote spiritual growth through:

 

◊  In depth Bible study

 

◊  Developing Personal Relationships

 

◊  Training us to serve and to share Jesus Christ with others.

 

If you are not enrolled in a Sunday School Class, please come and visit us. Be sure to come early for fellowship at 9:30 a.m.  Check out a few of our classes - there is sure to be a class that is perfect for you and your family.

 

We truly believe that the life, and personal spiritual growth, of our church family is based on the strength our Sunday School ministry.  "As our Sunday School goes, so goes our church."

 

Are you without transportation or unable to drive?  We have a Van Ministry!  Adults and Senior Citizens that are no longer able to drive, or children that need a ride, are welcome to take advantage of this ministry. If you are in need of this service or have any questions, please call the church office at 912-748-7332.

 

 

Sunday School Classes

 

◊  The Joy Class (Adult Ladies)- Made up of mature ladies (mostly over 50), we invite any to join us. Our teacher is Sheila Lowe. We learn from the Sunday School lessons, along with the Bible, and have open discussions.We have found that there are many things we do not know and continue to learn, and any questions that are asked are attempted to be answered through the Bible. We contribute to various mission programs through our individual giving in Sunday School and have a get together at least annually.If you are looking for a class in our age group we invite you to join us. We are not only serious about our Bible study but have some fun in our "senior moments" - and we are here for each other.

 

◊ Overcomers (Adults)-Do you need a word from God? We are men and women ranging in ages of mostly 50 and above.We search the Scriptures through our lesson guide each week, and discuss any Scriptures that we like pertaining to the lesson. Our class is located in the Brides Room. Come expecting to meet with God. You will be blessed!

 

◊ Life Application (Adults 31 & Over)-We are a class comprised of single and married adults, 31 and older. Throughout our lessons each week, discussion and feedback is highly encouraged as we seek to better understand God's word, His example, and His plan for our everday lives. Please join us!

 

◊ Youth (12-17 Yrs Olds)-This class, taught by a Minister of the Gospel, is for all youth – Youth are considered those entering the 6th grade to the completion of the 12th grade and are unmarried. Our youth are very special to Faulkville Baptist; they are our future leaders and disciples.We teach from biblically and theologically sound material, using Scripture passages that are systematic and based on a strategy for student’s spiritual development. We inspire for students to see the Scripture as their source of truth in all of the life’s questions they will face.Please join us as we grow in Christ.

 

◊ Preteens (9-11 Yrs Old)-We have a wonderful group of 4th and 5th grade boys and girls in our Sunday School Class.We proudly teach the written word of God in our class. Our preteens are encouraged to read God’s word aloud, interact during activities and games, and pray during our time together.Our weekly lessons include reading and studying Scripture, learning memory verses and teaching preteens how to apply these lessons in their lives; all in a fun environment in order to keep them engaged. Additionally, we teach the ABC’s (Admit, Believe and Confess) of becoming a Christian and encourage preteens to share the great news of our Savior, Jesus Christ with others. Your preteens are sure to have a great time while learning the wonderful stories left to us in God’s word. We hope to see the smiling face of your preteen soon!

 

◊ Younger Boys & Girls (6-8 Yrs Old)-We have a wonderful group of 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade boys and girls in our Sunday School Class.We proudly teach the written word of God in our class. Our boys and girls are encouraged to read God’s word aloud, interact during activities and games, and pray during our time together.Our weekly lessons include reading and studying Scripture, learning memory verses and teaching young boys and girls how to apply these lessons in their lives; all in a fun environment in order to keep them engaged. Additionally, we teach the ABC’s (Admit, Believe and Confess) of becoming a Christian and encourage them to share the great news of our Savior, Jesus Christ with others.Your child is sure to have a great time while learning the wonderful stories left to us in God’s word. We hope to see the smiling face of your child soon!

 

◊ Preschool (3-5 Yrs Old)-We have a wonderful group of 3, 4 and 5 year old boys and girls in our Sunday School Class.

We proudly teach the written word of God in our class. We assist our boys and girls in reading God’s word aloud, interact during activities and games, and pray during our time together.Our weekly lessons are built on a spiritual foundation that guide these young boys and girls to hear, know and do God’s word. In this class, we focus on helping them to learn and grow by hearing Bible truths, knowing and understanding Bible truths, and applying and living Bible truths; all in a fun environment in order to keep them engaged. Additionally, we introduce them to the ABC’s (Admit, Believe and Confess) of becoming a Christian and encourage them to share the great news of our Savior, Jesus Christ with others. Your child is sure to have a great time while learning the wonderful stories left to us in God’s word. We hope to see the smiling face of your preschooler soon!
